Bandung and Garut are connected by a railway line. The connection has been in place since early 1887, through the Colonial Railway Company. The purpose was to open an economic route from Bandung to eastern Priangan. The route is less than 60 km long and takes 1.5 hours to travel through several local stations. The track crosses deep valleys, cuts through lava rock hills, and offers panoramic views of the Kadungora area.
Geotrain invites you to experience geotourism along the Bandung-Garut route. Witness the range of G. Kareumbi hills, up to the Kendan intrusion hills. As you approach Leles, the landscape is dominated by volcanic rock, in the form of thick lava, forming a long corridor that guides the locomotive to the heights of Kadungora Garut.
